roof update

Taking longer than I thought but I do love the color!!!
Started the one side today.

2 guys still cleaning off shingles on the other side.
What a mess but they are being very careful with my plants and shingles dropping everywhere.
Hope all my plants survive. Not good to cover them with plastic.

I don't have a lot of patience with projects like this but I am trying.
My cats are having a fit!

I hope you are all enjoying your Satuday!!!!

I hope it's worth it!

Taking shingles off to start new metal roof.
Do you think he could get any closer....geez!
So this means no tv and no computer soon so if you get no response don't worry 4-5 days.
Still have my cell phone.

Later!

Do you like morel mushrooms?

Jennifer (daughter) came over early this morning to collect more rocks for her garden beds so we went back into the woods behind my house.
We hit the mother lode of morel mushrooms!!!!!
She came back later and picked another full grocery bag of them.
I had to get my haircut so missed second trip.
Well, I have to say I really don't care for this type so she took them and gave them away to friends. But they were fun to pick.
Me carrying sweatshirt full of rocks.
Beautiful morning but very muggy and you can feel it in the air the storms that are heading our way.
Heading back out to plant...enjoy your afternoon.

Spent Mothers Day outside all day playing and working in the yard.
Started pulling down grapevine climbing in the trees and made this. Turned out really cute! This was before I finished adding more  grapevine, then added a vine in a pot that will grow and cascade down. Mexican Vine, which has bright orange flowers and attracts Monarch butterflies.
I hope you had a great Mothers Day.

One more project soon to be marked off the list!

I have wanted to do this for years!!! Finally, tomorrow it will be finished. Small and simple little deck off our family room.
It will make it look so much better and completed in this garden area.

It is the no fuss decking and darker than it looks.
I already what I want to sit on it.
I will let you see it when it's all finished.

Come sit on my porch blessings:0)

Yesterday Bobbie and I went to lunch ( Petes Place) and off to Blocks greenhouse. WOW!!!! What a place, I am hooked. I want to go back soon but I think I have a weeks worth of more
planting to do but with the cold weather I have everything crammed in my bathroom...LOL Still to cold at night, heck it is still too cold during the day right now.

Petes Place  (Telegraph road)....great hamburgers! One of the best burgers I have ever had and homemade potato chips!

Now these pictures were taken in my laundry room.
I know ....but warm in there and don't want to lose any plants cause of the cold. Hopefully by the end of the week I can start planting again....fingers crossed.

Kept the plants a purchased yesterday in my van and that's where they will stay till  the weekend.

Pretty excited about these garden bibs.
I ordered them this morning. I think they will be much cooler than denim bibs while working in the yard. I have heard a lot of good things about them.
Get tired of pulling my shirt down everytime I bend over!
Know what I mean...

April showers bring May flowers...
and we should have many :0)
