Welcome Summer!!!!

Loving the hot weather we are having here in Michigan.

Yesterday was a perfect day to wash the siding on our house.

Look what I uncovered under a sign hanging near my porch.

Love when they chirp so I hope they do come back.

Another hot day today with sunshine.

Spring and Summer are my favorite time of year.

We did manage to get a couple hours ride on the Honda Goldwing last night and stopped at the A & W to have a rootbeer float. Yummy with this heat.

We are planning a trip on Honda coming up but will probably just stay in Michigan.

July 9th and 10th getting closer and I am only half ready.

Took a few closeup pictures but cloudy and raining so thought I would post these. We need the rain badly so no complaints.

I love watching animals with their babies!!

These are fields by our house planted with wheat and soybeans this year. Usually its corn and hay, my favorite because the harvest is so facinating to watch and the smells are heavenly.

My Hens and Chicks plants have really bloomed this year. I have never seen the new growth like this before. Anxious to see what it turns into.

This carpet perennial is called Blue Stars and is spreading nicely but the picture did not capture the vibrant blue.

This garden area by our milkhouse has low growing carpet varieties and turning out really cute. Good thing plants can handle dry because we did not get one drop of rain yesterday that was predicted!

Today would have been my sisters 74th birthday.

She has been gone 5 weeks now but I still feel her prescence everyday and miss her so much.

This picture was taken on her birthday, the year they moved back to Michigan for the summer. My husband made the claypot man for her.

I have one and she always wanted one and she was very surprised.

What a fun day that was.

I feel so blessed I had her for a sister.

Are you loving this hot weather? We went right into summer didn't we! I could handle weather like this the whole year.

My gardening projects are getting done, slowly but surely

for the Lacasa Garden Tour coming up on July 9th and 10th.

This project was done Friday. I wanted a fence in this area for awhile now to fill in this huge open area. Planting is hard because of the deer and turkeys. They eat everything or we get raccoons, skunks and woodchucks digging everything up. I added the birdhouse and a vine will climb up the grapevine I added.

Sunflowers will soon be planted next to it.

roof update

Taking longer than I thought but I do love the color!!!

Started the one side today.

  
2 guys still cleaning off shingles on the other side.
What a mess but they are being very careful with my plants and shingles dropping everywhere.
Hope all my plants survive. Not good to cover them with plastic.

I don't have a lot of patience with projects like this but I am trying.

My cats are having a fit!
