with our friends Mike and Lucille. A long drive from us but worth it.

Today is the first day of Summer.

This is the mustard blanket box I picked up yesterday at the Seville Antique Mall.
I found this prim barn door. The next pic is where I am hanging it.
We had our basement landing finished up on Friday. Brian put up the same wood we had done on our kitchen walls. After we have it stained, the same color as the kitchen, I am hanging the barn door on the narrow end wall. The picture below. what do you think?
View of wood above the door.

Oh I also picked up this issue of A Simple Life. This one is my favorite so far...can't put it down.
Here's my Lil' Jerrry taking a bath and enjoying the sunshine in our bay window.
Aren't his stripes pretty! He is the softest cat we have ever owned. But also the most skiddish when company shows up.
Time to grill the hamburgers.....
have a wonderful week friends.

TGIF

It is going to be a beautiful day today. I am hoping to get the lawn cut tonight because with the rain we had this week it has gotten pretty thick.
What are your plans this weekend?
I need to move furniture around and wash floors. I use Murphys Oil Soap. It cleans really well.
Enjoy your weekend

I hope I hope I hope my Blog issues will be fixed tomorrow night!!!!

I finally have an IT Computer  pro coming to my house tomorrow night and I hope he can figure out my blog issues. It is what I need and think will help having someone one on one who can show me instead of being in a hurry...and so I can ask stupid questions but at least get some answers. I have not heard from  a lot of my blogger friends and some have e-mailed me and said they could not comment.
                                             ~This is me~

Which one fits you?
All of the above for me!!!!!

Gourd surprise

We have a corn field planted  the north side of our house. Last Fall I threw out all my gourds  and look what I have now.  The ground was tilled and planted and spread my seeds with it. I think I just might have quite a few gourds this year. How cool is that! It's close enough to our house so I can keep an eye on them. Once the corn gets taller not sure how well  it will grow.
Have a wonderful week everyone.
