Weekend

Finallly the cooler temps have arrived. I was able to work out in my yard all day and tonight it is beautiful out side with a wonderful breeze and 72. Perfect Summer weather for me. Hope everyone has their power back and cooler temps. I wanted to show some picks from Friday. I took my granddaughter to Henry Ford Titanic Exhibit. No pictures were allowed but got some cute pics pf the girls. If you get a chance to go, you must.

Friday the 13th.

I have a secret to tell you blogging friends. I was waiting until my confirmation e-mail arrived. I am so honored and excited to have this wonderful magazine coming to do a photoshoot of my home next Friday. EEK! One week away!

Saturday Fun /Pictures to share

Sleeping in for one thing and staying up late without having to worry is a wonderful feeling!Got up at 8 and picked my sister up by 9:30 and off we went. Took my car and my sister kept saying lets take the van. "We should have drove the van...she won't let me live that down! First stop at TSC. I wanted a half barrel to put in my garden and they had some left...and two 40 pound bags od sunflower seed for the birds. Stopped and got gas and down to 3.29 a gallon! Next stop at Brettys and found a new floor rug for the front of my door. She has the best selection of rugs. Cynthia was in this years Country Sampler...check her out! Next we were off to check out a new shop in Hillsdale called Mulberry Lane and found a Kippi prim cat and a cute prim doll, oh, and a prim table cloth for the table on my porch. Time for lunch so we went to The Hunt Club down the street and if you ever have a chance to go....GO...it was WONDERFUL. There is one in Jackson Michigan too. Every time we try to go to that one it is always packed. Now I know why. Next stop at The Old Granary on Quincy. Joann is the sweetest! I found one of her flags she makes and put it on my porch. Found a new scented candle I have never burned..still like Cornbread and Honey the best. On our way out we heard an old train whistle and took off toward the track to watch it coming. I can't believe the exact same thing happened to us last year. Off to Antique Mall in Allen. Didn't by anything but saw some things but no room in my car! Last stop the grocery store. We are having a cookout this afternoon. BBQ chicken, corn on the cob, parsley potatoes and Michigan salad. Hope your all staying cool in this oppresive heat!

Today was a productive and fun Saturday. I slept in until 9 this morning and it felt wonderful. My daughter Jennifer called me soon after I got up to come see her garage painted. So off I went, stopped at Macdonalds for sausage, egg and cheese first. She was up at the crack of Dawn painting...wish I had that energy. I did manage to get my lawn cut , did some watering and trimmed some bushes. Things are looking pretty good. Anyway, I took some pictures of her yard to share with you..she is very good at putting things together. Isn,t it cute? She lives in a Sears home. Her house behind the fence ( her driveway) After yard work Norm and I took of on the bike and got some riding in. Perfect end of the day. Time to call it a day. ~~Earlene~~

SAD NEWS

Sad news today about my friend Debbie. You know her from Primitive/Colonial Pride Blog. Yesterday she lost her battle with cancer. Please pray for her and her family. She was a wonderful,talented,loving,dedicated, hard-working woman. I will miss her. Love you Debbie and we will meet again some day.

I am dog sitting this week. On the way home from work and picked up a new toy for my grand dog Reese. SHE HAD IT APART IN 5 MINUTES!!! No more soft toys for her. And I got her BIG bones to chew on. Gone in 20 minutes. She is a very sweet dog and that makes up for it. Happy Hump Day ~~Earlene~~
