Blast from my teenage years/no pictures

I heard the news today that Davy Jones died of a heart attack today. It put me into a sad sad mood.
I don't know about you but I think the 60's was the best time ever. I have so many fond memories and it included the Monkees. I use to sleep with my transistor radio on my ear every night. I bet some of you are asking what is a transistor radio...well those were the days!
He was a very good looking man at his age too...still a heart throb.
Now time to sit and reminise.
Have a good night.

Happy Hump Day

Okay , Steph Mattson, FrontPorch Primitives, sent me this today so I will list 7 things about me that you don't know. I was asked earlier in the week but passed cause honestly I just didn't have time to do it at that time . Okay...things you don't know about me..hmm?
1. I love motorcycles, mini bikes, 4 wheelers. I grew up with 3 brothers and me and my younger brother had all the toys. My husband and me own a Honda GoldWing 1800 cc and take a 2 week vacation every summer. Nothing planned, just get on it and go. We do have a destination but never plan the route. More fun that way.
2. I love to drive! I have driven to Florida by myself several times to go to my sisters. But since she bought a home in Michigan I haven't done it lately.(She lives here in the summer)
3. I never started using a computer until 2004. And...I hate Facebook.
4.I grew up in Brighton Michigan and attended school there K-12 and moved to Gregory Michigan in 1989.
5. I always wanted a Firebird Formula (car) and when I graduated from Lansing Community College (2003) I bought one, my present to myself and I still have it.
(Wanna buy one?)
6. My oldest daughter is a Leap Year birth (1972) and my second daughter was born 4 years later and missed it by 1 week (3-7-76) Cool hey!
7. I am afraid of horses.
Time to watch The Middle! Love that show!
Have a good night.

Saturday with Carmen,Cindy and Vicky

Primitive Blessings Shop
First shop on our stop. Messed up my order of pictures ...this one did not post right first time so continue on,
Hi! Almost to Carmens house and drove by this! Would have LOVED to go picking through this old homestead! The drive here was such beautiful countryside. I realized one of the reason Ohio is so pretty is that grassland and fields are right up to the roadside and it looks so neat, groomed and clean. In Michigan, near me anyways, trees , weeds and scrub are right next to the road and beyond that are the groomed fields. Ohio is also very hilly.
On my way to Carmens I had to stop and take a picture if this barn and building. I think it is a ranch hand home...whatever it is it's adorable! Would love to have it in my yard! Herb gardens around it would be perfect don't you think?
Prim Happiness!
Great Gals!
Vicky, Cindy, Carmen
Mary we missed you!!!!

This stream ran right nest to Primitive Blessings shop...how lucky is she to have such a beautiful peaceful setting. The weather was perfect , the sun was shining and crocus was popping up on the hill. A wonderful shop and I did not want to leave. You must stop if you are ever in the area.
We also went to NorthShore Primitives and I didn't get a picture of her shop...to caught up in the moment and it never crossed my mind. She was are second stop.
After that we headed to lunch and had a great time visiting.
Then left and went to The Old Farmstead.
Carmen with a primcat..aren't they cute!
Carmens cats are the most beautiful cats I have ever seen. She takes wonderful care of them and believe me when I say these cats are disciplined...never seen anything like it before and very sweet to watch.
We had a great time and ready to do it again.
Enjoy!

Happy Saturday Afternoon/new prims/curtains/tweaks

I bought this cute penny mat this morning to add to my Easter display. Isn't it sweet. Love the muted colors in it.

This is the old horse feed bucket I bought last weekend at Holly Hills Primitives. I want to put a prim bunny in it for Spring but this doll will do for now. I want to set it on my table..right now it's on the floor against my black corner cupboard.
Brought my red shutters back up from the basement and changed the display today. I am trying to hide the view of the snow we got last night...3".
Do you think it looks okay?
Set my small prim table today in this corner with the prim child chair.
Taste of Spring
Close-up...looks black but actually dark blue.

My homespun curtains turned out so nice! I think they fit in this room perfectly...and Lucille did a great job making them! If your interested she can make you some too. You supply the fabric and she will let you know the cost to make them and ship them. She does great work!

I am still trying to find the right piece to set or hang behind the tub near my buttery. Maybe I will find something next weekend when I go shopping in Ohio with Carmen. Did you hear? I can't wait...we are spending the day together prim shop hopping. I am leaving Friday night after work.
Have a great evening!

Changed my background

What do you think of the new background color. I just don't want it to wash out my pictures but wanted a lighter look for Spring.
Not much else to comment about tonight..just a lazy evening.
Have a good night.

First Sunday of February

You can tell it was a bright sunny day.
Getting ready to set out my Spring goodies.
Picture of my kitchen I took yesterday
It is a beautiful sunrise this morning here in our neck of the woods.
Making bacon and eggs for breakfast and then heading outside for a long walk.
Love the sunshine we have been having here...make Winter so much more tolerable.
At noon I am heading over to Holly Hills Primitives for her Superbowl Party.
She has new things in from market so I can't wait to check it out. I will try to get pictures if she lets me, otherwise check out her blog. She is lisyed on mine if you can't find her.
I wanted to share some pictures I took yesterday.
Have a wonderful day today and have fun!
