Garage Sale

Well the sale went okay. Any time I can thin out a little in my basement of things I know I will never use again is a big help. I do have my eye on a sweet table and 2 chairs Lucille is selling...I need to make up my mind today. I will take a picture of it to show you when I go back ovet to her house. I need to get my lawn cut today. We had wonderful rain all night Friday...no rain during the sale, so my lawn looks green. I will also get some updated pictures of Lucilles house for your Sunday treat. ~~See you back tonight~~ ~~Enjoy your Day~~

Few things to share

I hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend:0) I started my Fall decorating outside today.....not much...but it's a start. My sister gave me the grapevine that I used to wrap around my scarecrow and it worked perfect. I have had the terra cotta pumpkins 8 years now. I found them at a shop in Delaware Ohio.

Yesterday my BIL came over to hang a shelf he made for me to fill this big empty white blah on the side of my house. So yesterday morning I spent half the morning washing green mold of the siding with bleach water. That side (North) never gets direct sun so I have to do that every year. I'm sure it will changed around many times, a fun spot to display.

Love how the plants grew around my garden shed.

Today was a beautiful hot day (90) with this wonderful sunset I wanted to share.

I Love My Cats!

Cats are so darn cute...look at these two. We were entertained this morning on our porch while drinking our morning coffee and relaxing. Buddy trying to fit in a basket much smaller than him.

See the cluttery mess! This is why I hate garage sales! I'm planning on getting stuff packed and ready to go this weekend and get it off my porch. The sale is next weekend. It will be a good one with 3 of us selling at it. ~Have a great 3 day weekend friends!~ ~Earlene~

Happy Hump Day

I hope your day was good...mine was. I wanted to share a picture of my new Fall wreaths I found for my barn door. I stuck purple asters in them..not blooming yet but they should look really pretty. She called them teardrop wreath and have sold like crazy and I can see why. What do you think? Probably would look better a little bigger...maybe I should move them somewhere else. ~`Have a wonderful evening~~ Earlene

Last Monday of August and I took a vacation day. Yippee

Time to get caught up on some things during the week so I took today off. Banking, shipping, all that stuff you can't get done on the weekends. I want to start getting ready too for a garage sale I will be in on September 8th. I hate marking things but I have to get a start on it.

I want to unpack all my Fall and get rid of some of it too, so perfect time to take to the sale on the 8th. ~~Enjoy your Monday~~ Earlene

Happy Hump Day/Painted Desk

Today was dandy! How was your day? I wanted to stop in and show you what my school desk looks like black.

And tonight after work I picked some tomatoes in my garden. The green tomatoes stay green...can you see the stripes? They are called Zebra tomatoes and very very good. I have been taking them for luch every day. I like to sprinkle a packet of Splenda on them . Not very big but big on flavor. I found them at Lowes this Spring.

I managed to set some gourds on my dough bowl for Fall and thats it. I just can't give up Summer yet. This week has been beautiful.

Saturday Estate Sale Goodies

What a beautiful cool sunny morning here today. I can't believe I slept 11 hours but did have lots of energy this morning. My sister called and said she would pick me up at 1:30 to go to some garage sales and I didn't even realize it but an estate sale was going on right down the street. The women who lived here was the sweetest lady, she passed away 2 years ago (?) at the age of 107. We went to her 100th birthday party. We went to her estate sale first and this is what bought.

Prim black Table, 2 old cutting boards anf Old Gray Speckeled Granite Coffee Pot. Now I will show you the smalls that I carried in the coffee pot...all for 1.00 a piece.

This 5 Gallon Crock was very nice. One of those purchases that your not sure about cause you have to think about it, then you kick yourself cause it's gone by the time you decide. Well we drove away in the van and got down the road and I told my sister to turn around, I want to go buy it. I think 95.00 was a good price, but didn't really want to spend that much but couldn't pass it up. What do you think?

This old desk I found last weekend at OLD US 12 yard sales. I am painting it a black milk paint. It will be for sale if your interested. 25.00... very sturdy. I am joining in at a garage sale at my friends on Saturday September 8th and it will be there. Webberville Mi. 5:15 already! Time to start dinner.
