March is here! Happy Day Happy Saturday everyone!

I hope this week for you was a good one, it sure went by fast for me.  I am so happy to see the weekend. Sitting here with a great cup of coffee getting ready for the day. Having a day with my friends for lunch and shopping is always a treat for me. I don't have a lot of cleaning to do since my oldest daughter has been helping me out once a week. I just can't seem to keep up like I use to. Working full time gets the best of me sometimes and it helps her make a little extra grocery money.

I was up at 5 this morning! Why is that? All week you want to sleep and come the weekend you can't!!  ARGH!

 Lunch is egg salad on croissants, hummus and veggies,with apple cinnamon scones. nothing special but yummy.

 My little Spring welcome gift for them...smells so good!

I don't know how the rest of you feel but I am so glad this is the last week of February. I did not have to do Jury Duty this week , glad about that too!

Started setting out some greens this weekend.

I wanted to show more but my computer not working the way it should this morning.

Guess what I saw yesterday.....

 On my way home from work yesterday I stopped at Paneras for a fresh loaf of bread and when I left to get in my car a ROBIN was on top of a snowbank picking at who knows what. Poor thing looked so thin and the wind was gusting really bad. for me that is a good sign of Spring on it's way. I know, supposedly they are here year round but I have never seen one. Anyways the lady next to me probably thought I was nuts the way I cheered when I saw it...oh well.

I was able to leave work early yesterday and spent the afternoon catching up on errands. I managed to buy a 1803 candle, Old Dough box, still like Cornbread and Honey better.

Driving home the wind was so gusty....geez..at least it wasn't snowing.

I think Daylight Savings Time is next weekend ( oops it is the following weekend) so more time to enjoy after work. Can't wait to start working in my yard with the extra daylight coming!

I have been seeing lots of bunnies showing up and I know how much we are all anxious for Spring.

Easter is April 20th this year so bunnies can hang around a lot longer.

Happy Hump Day.

Good News.

Norm had his 4 week check yesterday and the

 doctor said he was doing great. No need for physical therapy either.

It might take up to a year for everything to heal but does not need the walker anymore and can climb stairs, slowly, on his own now. 

Got the ok to go back to work, just listen to his body.

Holy Canolli what a week it has been. Frigid temps are taking its toll ( at least the sun has been shining) and I have never seen so much snow! Driving to work this week ( 31 miles one way) is the pits.

Thank goodness for the weekends. I lit some candles, had a glass of wine and ate dinner and now finally chilling for the day.

Not sure yet what I am doing this weekend, it has been that way every weekend the past couple of weeks cause of the weather. I don't care this weekend, I am getting out no matter what.

Have you seen the new A Primitive Place Magazine? It has GREAT homes in it. I will read it cover to cover tomorrow.What do you have planned?

 Today we are expecting 7 more inches of snow but I don't mind because January is OVER! Spring is closer, my sister will be back soon, and my hubby is doing better, the days are getting longer, light when I leave for work and light driving home and I got to sleep in this morning. 

This is my buddy following me around all morning while taking pictures.  Love!

No plans this weekend unless we go to Holly Hills Primitives tomorrow for their Super Bowl Party.

Depends on the weather.

Update on Norm

We want to thank all of you so much for your prayers and well wishes. Hugs to all of you.

It has been 2 weeks today and Norm feels better each day. He had is appointment today and the doctor was pleased, considering how bad he was injured.

He can move around in the house now without his walker and is sleeping better. He does need to use it outside to keep his balance with all the snow we've had.

He goes again on Feb. 11th. to the specialist to see what therapy will need to be done.

That's all to report for now.

I don't know where to start.

Everything is getting better but the kids almost lost there Father on Tuesday, grands almost lost a grandfather and I almost lost my husband.

Thank you God  for watching over him.

He had a thirty thousand pound semi fall on him Tuesday and survived thanks to the, quick thinking, of the men with him they got it lifted off of him. Long story short, he got out of the hospital yesterday and a miracle how good he felt today. He fractured his pelvis in four places and is badly bruised. He did not have any internal bleeding.

He has to use a walker, he can stand but he can't walk. He will in time, but has to heal more and start his physical therapy.

We have had a wonderful family to help us and be by our side.

We are so grateful.

              My first week back...I made it.

Monday was like a ghost town because of the heavy snow. I made it in and my friend and 2 hygienists and that's it. We even had patients. The front desk was crazy with phones but 2 of them made it in. I worked all week sick! I would come home and go right to bed. I had a fever of 102 for 2 days and lived on Advil.

Thank goodness the weekend is almost here because I am not getting out of my pj,s and making lots of chicken soup.

Sunday morning snowfall and back to work Monday

 These pictures of snow were taken at 8 in the morning, you should have seen it at 8 last night. Thank goodness it is over.

Now the deep freeze starts, for alot of us.

My first day back to work and I must leave soon because of the road conditions. I am sure there will be alot of people not coming in but we did get an e-mail the U is opening up employee parking area area for patients. Which means scrambling for parking spots.

Friday morning sunshine flowing in makes me happy this morning but BRRrrrr....18 below zero

Had to tweak again since the tree is down.

I wish I could go out and enjoy the sunshine, forget it!!

I am staying put right here.

I might try to organize my closet, and maybe not.

I hate to admit it but this is the only time I will watch games on T.V.

So glad I did, both were very exciting to watch.

Since I have been on vacation I have finally had time to figure out how to change up my pictures, so this picture was an experiment.

Lovin the snow this winter. This is the kind of weather I remember having as a little girl.

Today I did drive in it and did not have a problem as long as your careful and drive slowly.
